马来西亚理科大学文化艺术节（理大文化艺术节）是属理大中华文化艺术坊旗下所筹办的活动。筹办此活动的目的是为了促进学生对文化与艺术的欣赏，从而激发各个族群的学生对文化与艺术的顾惜和吸引公众与各大企业对传承文化与艺术的关注。理大文化艺术节的活动宗旨是希望通过多元文化与艺术使大众之间维持着良好的友谊情谊，从而培养大学生与他人建立良好关系。除此之外，我们坚信能够透过这项活动培育出擅于建立良好友谊精神的优秀领导者。
Universiti Sains Malaysia Arts and Culture Festival is an event that aims to foster the appreciation of arts and culture among students, regardless of their races. This celebration hopes to advance the arts and cultures to university students from various races in order to attract the attention of the public and corporate sectors about the arts and cultures. Our event aims to achieve mental and spiritual balance of the brotherhood as expounded throughout the multi culture and arts. Through this, we emphasize the importance of building meaningful relationships among university students. We also strongly believe that development of camaraderie among students is a key tenet to nurture our future leaders.
USM ARTS AND CULTURE FESTIVAL 2024 'HOMEWARD'
理大文化艺术节2024的活动名称被命名为《鄉》。乡村，一片能让离乡背井的游子们再次相聚的乐土，是那个让我们心灵归宿的地方，同时也唤起游子们对于家乡的挂念。乡村的静谧、惬意、自由是现时代城市中人们所向往的生活憧憬。在这样的乡村生活中，文化与传统的多彩在不同的乡村里呈现于世。各大种族的文化特色亦丰富了乡村文化的多彩。“鄉”的字迹笔画繁多且复杂，犹如乡村融合多元、特色繁多、复杂交织的文化，也反映出了乡村古老且深远的文化底蕴。因此，我们希望透过理大文化艺术节2024，提升新生代对乡村文化的了解，同时燃起老一代城市人对乡村生活的思念情怀，让大家相聚在一起，身临其境，一同感受乡村生活及本土文化，以使乡村美好的生活状态在喧嚣的城市中得以传承，成为心中永不磨灭的记忆。
The name of USM Arts and Culture Festival 2024 is ‘Homeward’. Hometown is a paradise where wanderers far from home reunite with a sense of belonging. The multiculturalism and traditions of villages evokes the heartwarming memories of their homeland. Nowadays, the urbanites yearn for the silence, serenity and freedom of villages due to the hustle and bustle of cities. The numerous strokes of the Chinese character, “鄉” is akin to the diverse and vibrant charm of multiculturalism which also reflects the ancient enchantment and longstanding heritage of villages. Thus, USM Arts and Culture Festival 2024 hopes to enhance the new generation’s appreciation for the culture of villages, while also reigniting the nostalgia of the past among the older generation.
透过一笔笔描绘、一次次着色，我们希望带出乡村的种种情节和多姿多彩的艺术之美。不管是农田散发的稻草清香味、随风飘扬的风筝、夜晚时分的蝉鸣曲、还是渔村带来的慢步调生活，都能让大家唤起那些被遗忘的乡村时光。乡村的每一场经历、每一个情景、每一段画面都值得被记载着，以勾勒出人们对乡土的深切思念。因此，我们希望透过理大文化艺术节2024，让大家重温乡村生活所带来的惬意，唤起人们对家乡的思念，一同展现出大马乡村的昂扬风采，并把乡村文艺顺势衍生。
Every line sketched, every shade of colour added reveals the vibrant stories and beauty of the village, which encompasses the refreshing paddy scent from the fields, fluttering kites in the winds, serenade of the cicadas in the dusk and the relaxing slow-paced lifestyle of fishing villages. Every scene allows everyone to reunite once again and reignite the village’s faded memories. Through USM Arts and Culture Festival 2024, we wish to relight the delightful sentiments brought by villages, revoke nostalgia of hometowns, showcase the vibrant charm of villages in Malaysia and promote the development of cultural heritage.
“筑”意味着建构以及巩固乡村里人与人之间的情谊和人与事物的情感。“情”则代表着风土人情，让新生代和老一代共同感受乡村生活所带来的质朴人情，并对家乡增添多一份深层的情感底蕴。“续”代表了乡村生活中所呈现的一种延续性。有了深厚的情感，人们对乡村的文化与艺术也就有更深入的共识，让大众一同保留和延续乡村独特的文化和生活方式，以避免乡村文化逐渐没落。最后，理大文化艺术节2024将通过展现多元的乡村文化，建立一个文化交流平台，唤起新生代对乡村文化的兴趣，以牢固乡村悠久文化的根源。
The fostering and nurturing of bonds between the younger and older generations are one of the fundamental components for the preservation and sustainability of the rural cultures. With a deeper appreciation for rural arts and culture, we are able to preserve and perpetuate the distinctive rural culture and lifestyle, ensuring its enduring legacy. However, the cultural heritage of rural areas is gradually fading into obscurity. With this, USM Arts and Culture Festival 2024 embraces a core value of fostering connections between the younger and older generations to experience the leisurely lifestyle in villages in order to preserve the beauty of arts and inherit the cultural heritage.
