为了让新生能够尽快适应大学生活与了解槟城的文化色彩，理大中华文化艺术坊于每年的九月份举办迎新活动。在度过了漫长乏闷的迎新周后，第一学年的新生都如从笼子释放的小鸟般，迫不及待地想要探索这宝岛的奥妙。来自不同州属、背景、学科及宿舍的新生们，都将汇集在此活动中，一同解剖东方之珠的神秘之处。从历史建筑至街头文化；从道地美食至风土民情，都值得新生们一一去探索。除了体验槟城文化，新生也能够结交各地的新朋友，进而了解更多大马各州的风俗文化。
The Orientation Programme which will be held in September every year is an annual programme that aims to let freshmen adapt fast to university campus life and understand better about the culture of Penang. After the orientation week, it’s time for freshmen to step out of campus and explore the mystery of this treasure island. Freshmen from different states, backgrounds, courses and hostels will gather in this Orientation Programme and discover the beauty of the Pearl of the Orient. In this Orientation Programme, freshmen can explore the historical buildings, street culture, authentic Penangite cuisines, local customs and culture. Besides that, freshmen can also make new friends from all over Malaysia and learn more about the culture of different places in Malaysia.
