【年代变迁】
何为年代变迁？关于中秋节每个人、每个年代的记忆都是不一样的。按照传统习俗，中秋节晚上一家人将会团聚在一起吃月饼赏月。近年来，随着商业化的发展，中秋节的一些传统习俗也慢慢改变，传承了几千年的中秋节发生了变化。随着年代的变迁，近几年中秋节的到来日益少了节日的气氛，反而是多了商业气息。
【Age Changes】
What does ‘age changes’ mean? The memories through the ages of Mid-Autumn Festival might be vary. In accordance with traditional customs, family members will be together and eat mooncake at night with the full moon in the sky. In recent years, with the era of commercialization has been growing rapidly, some of the Mid-Autumn Festival tradition customs have gradually changed and they have been transformed due to the social progress and development of times. With the change of age, celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival is becoming too commercialised instead of filling with the festive ambience.
【莫忘初衷】
中秋节是中国四大传统节日之一。以前人们庆祝中秋节的方式很简单，没有特别隆重的庆祝大餐。那时候，能吃上月饼，就算是过节了。但随着时代的进步和改变，人们表达节日祝福的方式愈加多样，但其中的“团圆”之意却亘古不变。其实通过什么方式过中秋并不重要，最重要的是家人团圆、生活幸福才是根本。就如我们今年的主题名字 ——《轴转•忆秋》，无论时间怎么改变，时代怎么进步，方式怎么创新，我们庆祝中秋的本意依旧不变。悠久历史的中华文化不该慢慢被淡忘，反之我们该守护、保留和传承它；莫忘初衷。
【Back To The Original Intention of The Celebration】
Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the four traditional Chinese festivals. In olden days, the way people celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival was simple and there was no special grand celebration. But with the progress and change of the times, the ways of expressing the blessing are diversifying while the original intention of ‘reunion’ should remain unchanged. Most importantly, reunion of family is the fundamental intention of the celebration. As this year with the theme of ‘A Glimpse In Time’, means that no matter how the age changes and the world innovates, the intention of celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival should be restored and conserved. A long history of Chinese culture should not be forgotten, we should guard, keep and pass it to the next generation instead.
官方吉祥物 mascots
这次的吉祥物设计概念源自于中秋神话故事之玉兔捣药篇，故事里头的白兔也是陪伴嫦娥的知己。因此，为了配合今次的主题概念 “年代变迁” ，我们选择了分别是粉红色和蓝色的兔子作为对比。只要细看，不难发现其实粉红兔子手提的是古代纸灯笼 ，而蓝色兔子提的则是现代造型纸灯笼；这意指中秋节的一些传统习俗随着时间的流逝慢慢改变了。另外，粉红兔子身穿的皓月神袍和蓝色兔子身穿的西装领结也象征着人们日新月异的庆祝方式，跟着时代的趋势不断地在改变。虽然中秋节的形式和内容已大幅度地更改，但人们庆中秋、盼团圆的心情自古依然不变，所以这两只兔子是作为古代、近代和现代中秋之间相互联系的最佳桥梁。
The mascot’s design concept is from the white rabbit which represents the myth story of Mid-Autumn Festival. In conjunction with our theme concept, which is ‘Age Changes’, we choose the pink and blue rabbits as a contrast. Just take a closer look, it is not difficult to find the pink rabbit holding an ancient paper lantern while the blue rabbit is holding a modern paper lantern. This means that some of the Mid-Autumn Festival tradition customs have gradually changed and they have been transformed due to the generation changes. In addition, the pink rabbit is dressed in gown and the blue rabbit is wearing a suit and tie; they symbolize the way people celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival that follows the latest trend of celebration. Although the form and content of the Mid-Autumn Festival have been greatly changed, the fundamental intention of people celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival remains unchanged.
